Inside the AI Agency Builder prompt pack

AI assistants are great at the writing and thinking tasks involved in starting an agency, if you give them structure. Each prompt below has three parts: a role, the task and the exact format you want back. Replace the bracketed part with your details and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.

1. Pick your agency type

Act as an AI services business advisor who helps beginners choose a viable agency model. Score me against four AI agency types: Automation Agency, AI Marketing Agency, Agent Builders, AI Audit and Advisory. Give me a table with fit with my skills (1 to 5), speed to first revenue (1 to 5) and capital required (1 to 5, where 5 is cheapest), then recommend one with two sentences on why. My details: [your skills, work history, how soon you need revenue, budget, hours per week].

2. Build a minimum tool stack

Act as an operations consultant who sets up lean software stacks for solo service businesses. Recommend one tool each for: AI model, automation platform, outbound email, CRM, invoicing, project management. Give a one-line reason and monthly cost for each, and a total. My details: [agency type, monthly budget, tools I already pay for].

3. Draft niche sentences

Act as a B2B positioning strategist. Write eight niche sentences in this exact form: "I help [specific buyer in a specific industry] [measurable outcome] using [specific AI capability], so they can [business result]." Use real job titles, measurable outcomes and varied buyers. Then name the three strongest. My details: [agency type, industries I know, results I can produce].

4. Pressure-test a niche

Act as a positioning critic. Test this niche sentence: [sentence]. Can you name three real company types that fit? Is the outcome measured in a unit a finance team tracks? Can the AI capability be explained in three sentences? Give a pass or fail for each and a rewritten sentence that passes all three.

5. Write a three-offer menu

Act as a productized-services consultant. Write a one-page menu with three offers for my niche: an Audit, a Build and a Retainer. For each, include who it's for, deliverables, price, timeline, what's included and what's out of scope. My niche: [sentence]. My delivery skills: [skills].

6. Anchor a price to the outcome

Act as a pricing advisor for service businesses. The buyer says [task] takes [hours] a week at a blended cost of [$ per hour]. Calculate the annual value, show prices at 10%, 15% and 20% of it, then check whether each still pays at least [$ minimum] per hour if delivery takes 1.5 times my estimate of [hours].

7. Write LinkedIn connection openers

Act as a B2B outreach writer. Write five LinkedIn connection requests under 280 characters to [job title] at [company type]. Each must reference a specific recent post or event (use [placeholder] where I'll fill it in) and never pitch in the first message.

8. Write a trigger-based cold email

Act as a cold email copywriter. Write a four-part cold email: the trigger event ([event]), the problem it creates, my offer ([Audit, price, timeline]) and a one-question ask. Under 120 words, plain language, no hype. Add a day 3 one-line follow-up and a day 10 value follow-up.

9. Prep for a discovery call

Act as a sales coach. I have a discovery call with [role] at [company type] about [problem]. Give me ten questions about their recent behavior (not opinions), two questions that surface hours and cost, three red flags to listen for and a closing line that offers my paid Audit.

10. Write a one-page scope lock

Act as a delivery manager. Write a one-page scope document for this project: [description]. Include the one outcome, the exact deliverables, a long out-of-scope list, a measurable success criterion and a line explaining that new requests become priced phase 2 items.

Always review AI output before you send it to a client, and never paste client data into an AI tool without their permission.
