How to Get Your First AI Agency Client in 60 Days

Most new AI agencies don't lack skill. They lack a pipeline. Two referred calls in three months is what an agency with no outreach system produces. The good news: a pipeline is mostly a schedule, not a talent.

Before you start: three things to lock

  • A one-line niche a stranger can picture (how to write it)
  • A three-offer menu with an Audit as the entry product
  • Prices you can defend (how to set them)

Outreach amplifies whatever you send. If the niche is vague, more volume just means more silence.

Channel 1: LinkedIn, every weekday

  1. Send 25 personalized connection requests per weekday to the exact job title in your niche.
  2. Open each with a specific reference to something they posted, shipped or commented on in the last 30 days.
  3. When they accept, message within 24 hours: name the problem you solve, offer the Audit, ask for a 30-minute call.

Channel 2: targeted cold email

About 50 emails a week to companies that fit your niche but where you can't find a LinkedIn opening. Lead with a recent trigger event, keep it to four short parts and follow up on day 3 and day 10. Templates: cold email templates for AI agencies.

Channel 3: one warm referral ask a week

Every Friday, message one person you already know with one specific ask: "Do you know anyone at a [buyer type] dealing with [problem]? I'm running my first [offer] and looking for three more conversations this month." Use a different person each week. Over 60 days that's eight targeted asks.

The 60-day rule

  • Commit to a full 60 days before judging the system.
  • For the first 30 days, change nothing except who you target.
  • After 30 days, adjust one variable at a time so you can see what moved.
  • Block the same 90 minutes every weekday morning. Move it earlier if you must, never off the calendar.

What to expect

A realistic curve looks like one discovery call in the first week or two of outreach, a few a week by week four, and a steady weekly flow by week six if your targeting is right. If you're under three calls a week by week four, review your targeting first, not your script.

On the first call

Ask how long the task takes today and what that time costs, then offer the Audit at its menu price. Don't discount to win the first client; the first price is the one your network remembers.
